Draft, pending legal review

Korfi refund policy

Draft for legal review · Version of 25 October 2026

If the language versions differ, the Polish version prevails. This English text is a translation provided for convenience.

This policy describes refunds, withdrawal from the contract and cancellation of paid Korfi plans. Paddle sells paid plans as the seller, so Paddle processes refunds.

Prices and plans are listed in the pricing page on korfi.app [TO BE DECIDED: plans and prices - the pricing page has not been published yet]. This policy supplements the Terms.

Working markers in the text: [TO BE COMPLETED] marks details the provider must fill in. [TO BE DECIDED] marks points the lawyer or the owner of Korfi must decide. This document is not legal advice and does not take effect until it is approved and published without these markers.

1. Who the seller is

1.1Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited or another Paddle group company, depending on your country) sells paid Korfi plans as the seller (reseller, Merchant of Record). Paddle takes payments, issues invoices, calculates taxes and processes refunds, under the Paddle buyer terms and the Paddle refund policy.

1.2Korfi does not invoice buyers, does not demand payment from them and does not pay out refunds itself. If we agree a refund with you, we pass it to Paddle to process.

1.3Paddle provides first-line billing support (invoices, payments, refunds, order questions): help@paddle.com or paddle.net. Korfi provides technical support for the product (the app, your account, your files): hello@korfi.app.

2. Asking for a refund within 14 days

2.1If you bought a paid plan, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of the purchase or of the latest renewal of your subscription.

2.2Paddle decides on such a refund at its own discretion and reviews each request individually. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund.

2.3You can submit the request through the support link on your purchase confirmation or billing page, or through the “Request refund” option on paddle.net.

3. Withdrawal from the contract by a consumer

3.1A consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving a reason (Article 27 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014). This covers one-off purchases and the first payment of a subscription. The deadline is met if you send your statement before it expires.

3.2The right of withdrawal does not apply or is lost if, at the Paddle checkout, you expressly agreed that performance may begin before the 14 days have passed and acknowledged that you lose the right as a result (Article 38(13) for digital content, Article 38(1) for services). If you withdraw after performance began at your request, you may have to pay for what was provided up to the moment of withdrawal (Article 35).

3.3[TO BE DECIDED: legal classification (digital content or digital service) and the exact wording of the consents at the Paddle checkout - it determines whether Article 38(13), Article 38(1) or Article 35 of the Consumer Rights Act applies]

3.4To withdraw, use the withdrawal button in the Paddle Customer Portal, available through the “Manage subscription” or “Manage transaction” link in your purchase confirmation email or on paddle.net. Submit the request within 14 days of the transaction date. You can also withdraw by any other unambiguous statement; a model form is in section 10.

4. Subscription renewals

4.1The statutory right of withdrawal generally covers a one-off purchase or the first payment of a subscription. Later renewals usually do not give a new withdrawal period (section 2.2.2 of the Paddle refund policy). If a plan starts with a trial period, a new 14-day period runs from the end of the trial, and in the United Kingdom also when annual plans renew.

4.2Regardless of that, you can ask for a refund of a renewal within 14 days of its date; Paddle reviews such a request at its own discretion (section 2). To avoid further renewals, cancel your subscription before the renewal date (section 5).

5. Cancelling a subscription

5.1You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals and further charges. It takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to the plan until then.

5.2You can cancel in your Korfi account settings or through the link in the email from Paddle (Customer Portal). [TO BE DECIDED: confirm that the cancel button in the app account settings will be available from the launch of payments; Paddle requires a direct cancellation path]

5.3Cancelling is not a refund: for a period that has already started, a refund is available only in the cases described in sections 2, 3 and 6. Cancelling does not delete your account or files; what happens after a plan ends is described in the Terms.

6. Defects and non-conformity of the service

6.1If the app or service in a paid plan does not work as agreed (for example, a feature described in the plan is missing, or persistent errors prevent you from using it), please first write to Korfi technical support: hello@korfi.app. We will try to bring the service into conformity with the contract at no extra cost to you.

6.2A consumer has the remedies under Articles 43k-43o of the Consumer Rights Act: to have the service brought into conformity with the contract and, where that is impossible or has not happened, a price reduction or withdrawal from the contract. The complaint procedure is described in the Terms.

6.3Paddle processes the refund for a material defect (section 4 of the Paddle refund policy). In a dispute Paddle contacts us, and we help to clarify the matter.

7. Free plans

7.1Free plans, including plans granted manually by Korfi (for example in the invite-only beta), involve no payment, so there are no refunds for them. A free plan cannot be exchanged for money or for a paid plan.

7.2You can delete an account on a free plan at any time without giving a reason (see the Terms).

8. Disputed payments (chargebacks)

8.1Before you raise a dispute with your bank or card issuer, please contact Paddle (help@paddle.com) or us. We can usually clarify the matter faster and refund you if a refund is due.

8.2While a payment dispute is open, access to paid features may be suspended (section 6 of the Paddle refund policy).

9. Timing and method of refund

9.1Paddle refunds a withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the request. Other approved refunds go, where possible, to the same payment method within 14 days of approval.

9.2How soon the money appears in your account also depends on your bank or card issuer. After a refund, access to the refunded plan ends; what happens to your files is described in the Terms.

10. Model withdrawal form

10.1The model below corresponds to Annex 2 to the Polish Consumer Rights Act. You may use it, but you do not have to: any unambiguous statement is enough, and the simplest way is the button in the Paddle Customer Portal.

10.2The statement is addressed to Paddle as the seller. [TO BE COMPLETED: Paddle postal and email address as the seller, taken from the order page or from the Paddle buyer terms]

  • Addressee: Paddle (the seller), details as above.
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the following digital content or digital service: a Korfi plan (name of the plan).
  • Date of the contract: ...
  • Name of the consumer, address of the consumer and email address of the Korfi account: ...
  • Signature of the consumer (only if this form is notified on paper) and date: ...

11. Changes to this policy

11.1The version of this policy in force on the day of purchase applies to that purchase. We announce changes on this page; significant changes are also described in the Terms.

11.2[TO BE DECIDED: align the policy with the final Paddle buyer terms and the wording of the checkout consents, and verify it once plans and prices are set]
